This week's ALVC tutorial covers Post-Modernism. Use the ALVC texts and definitions from the internet to define the term and answer the following questions;-Relativism

- Non-Ground narrative
-Social Constructvsm
- Pluralist
-Nothing is more true or more right or wrong than anything else.
-Lingnistic reflection
-Irony
2. Use a quote by Witcombe (2000) to define the Post-Modern artist.(page 24)
"The
post–modern artist is ‘reflexive’ in that he or she is self–aware and
consciously involved in a process of thinking about his or her cultural
self in history, in de-masking his or her own pretensions, and promoting
processes of self–consciousness." - Witcombe, C (2000)
3. Use the table on pages 47 and 48 in your ALVC handbook to summarize the list of the features of Post-Modernity.
The features of Post- Modernity including: social and cultural pluralism, disnuity, focus on surface rather than depth, culture adapting to simulation, hyper - reality, stoping the role of high culture and mixing it with popular, art as intertextuality and recycling of culture, challenge to official seriousness, hybridity.
4. Research Chinese artist Ai Weiwei's 'Han Dynasty Urn with Coca-Cola logo'(1994)

Ai Weiwei (born 18 May 1957) is a Chinese artist and political activist As we can see from this picture , this work are post- modern, the artist Ai Weiwei uses a modern logo "Coca-Cola" onto antique Qing dynasty, it's kind of style which combine with new and old type. He also uses different materials to hint two different cultural system.
6. Research British artist Banksy's street art, and analyze the following two works by the artist
to discuss how each work can be defined at Post-Modern.(Use your list from question 3.)
Banksy is a pseudonymous England-based graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter.Known for his work contempt for the goverment in labelling graffiti as vandalism,Banksy displays his art on public surfaces such as walls ,even going as far as to build physical prop pieces.
As we can see his work 'flower Riot' Banksy use a rioter which is black and whirt colour who holding a colourful bouquet .Which make remarkable comparsion with rioter.
Another work 'Los Angeles' the cave man holding a bone in his left hand,but he holding a hamburger and chips which are popular food throughout the would, make a comparsion between the two items ,it makes his work very post-modern.
